With one of Ayumi’s ethos being Food for your Skin, it’s only right that we draw inspiration from the ingredients within the Ayumi products and develop a #FoodforyourSkin recipe series, with the help of some of our insta cooks and baker friends. So, start with our very own Turmeric Smoothie Bowl recipe…

We use Turmeric in our products for its anti-inflammatory and skin brightening properties which helps with signs of pigmentation, making it an ideal skincare range for those with combination skin. When consumed internally it’s highly anti-inflammatory properties soothe the digestive system and boost the immune system with its antioxidant properties. Our verdict: everyone needs some turmeric in their lives.

Turmeric Beauty Bowl

Serves 2 

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • ½  cup coconut milk (recommend alpro)
  • ¼ medium pineapple
  • ½ medium mango
  • To garnish: ½ banana, 2 strawberries, desiccated coconut, lime wedges

Method

  1. Chop up all the fresh fruit into small pieces and add to a blender with the turmeric powder, coconut milk and 1 large cup of ice cubes.
  2. Blitz until smooth
  3. Serve in bowls with garnishes and a big squeeze of fresh lime.
