Originating 5000 years ago in the Himalayas, Ayurveda’s holistic health and wellbeing system is based on the therapeutic properties of plants. Its ancient teaching provide a 360 approach to health and wellbeing, working to balance our internal health, mental health and physical health through a variety of different holistic, Ayurvedic rituals and Ayurvedic herbs and spices.

The Ayumi range has been formulated with the ancient teachings of Ayurveda at its core, and the traditional Indian ingredients at the forefront. Ayumi brings common ingredients used in India and other Asian countries within family generations, to a Western environment. Ayumi believes in plant power to give naturally effective results for the skin.

It is only medicines that are specifically tested for safety in pregnancy, not body care products. However, any legal European body care product will not contain ingredients regarded as unsafe during pregnancy.

All of our products are composed of a bespoke selection of natural ingredients. If you have particularly sensitive skin, we would recommend the Sandalwood range which contains Ayurvedic sandalwood, organic aloe vera juice and Arjuna heartwood. This range soothes sensitive skin and provides vital skin clarification.

Sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) is utilised within the following products: pure almond oil, growth hair oil, detox oil, repair oil, fairness daily night cream, fairness daily day cream, Turmeric and Shea body lotion. We also use sesame oil in the following products: Pure sesame oil.

Shelf life for Ayumi products is 12 months from the period of opening.

Our products are manufactured in the UK.

All our packaging is recyclable, and our bottles are made out of post-consumer recycled plastic. Recycling is like Karma, what goes around comes around. We’re proud of our sourcing provenance and all of our cartons are Forest Sustainability Certified.

As a holistic brand we don’t, and will never, test on animals. We do not sell to countries where testing is obligatory and we avoid using ingredients that are tested on animals.

All of our products are certified by the Vegetarian Society, with all suitable for vegans too.

We are proud to say that all of our products are vegan friendly.
